The Hernando County Republican Party agrees that freedom of speech and the right to peacefully assemble are essential rights for all Americans. So, while it is their right to gather, the planned ‘Occupy Hernando’ rally on October 29th smacks of hypocrisy, and it reveals collusion between the Socialist Party’s 2008 Presidential candidate, Brian Moore, and Hernando-area Democrat leaders.

In an article penned by Michael Bates of the Hernando Today, it becomes clear that Socialist Moore and Hernando Democrat leaders are working hand-in-hand. In the article Moore states “…he and other Occupy organizers — including Joe Lemieux, Paul Boston, Lisa Holloway, Steve Zeledon and Anita Stewart — met at Perkins to get the movement off the ground.”

Steve Zeledon is currently the Chairman of the local Democratic Party and Lisa Holloway is the past Vice Chair. Although Moore tells the reporter no organization is sponsoring the event, it is clear that local Democrats are joining with him to push a liberal agenda.

There may have been a day when Democrat party bosses in the South were centrists. Those days have passed. Now, even here at the local level, we see these Democrat leaders are willing to coordinate with those who push the most extreme, socialist political agenda.
